- It's not the cheapest lip balm on the market, but it's worth every penny.
- The scent can be a bit strong at first, but it fades quickly.

Editor's Summary
I gotta say, I was blown away by this little lip balm from Mi-mi-mi. My daughter's lips were super chapped, but after using this, they started to feel so much better. It's not just for kids, trust me - it's a game changer for anyone with dry lips. I love the bubble gum flavor too!
Specifications
Hello!
My husband brought home this lip balm after my daughter asked him to grab some lip care for her. He picked it up on the recommendation of the pharmacist.
At the time, my daughter's lips were super chapped - the burning and painful sensations on her lips and around her mouth were pretty uncomfortable.
But she refused to use the 'Winter Care' lip balm from the 'Mi-mi-mi' brand, saying she was too old for kids' products.
As it turned out, the lip balm ended up in my hands. And I have to say, it's a full-size product.
Even though I'm not a kid anymore, I really like the care for my lips from this kids' cosmetic brand.
I'll try to explain below why I'm so happy with this lip balm.
Mi-mi-mi 'Winter Care' lip balm with bubble gum flavor.Mi-mi-mi 'Winter Care' lip balm with bubble gum flavor.Weight: 4.2 g.
Shelf life: 24 months, after opening - 12 months.
Manufacturer: Russia, Moscow, Galant Cosmetics-M LLC.
Price: 91 rubles.
Place of purchase: Volgo-Farm pharmacy, Zdorovtsi pharmacy.
Product design.
The product design is super kid-friendly: a bright color scheme is used, and cute and funny characters from a cartoon are depicted.
The primary cardboard packaging of the balm, as well as the foil with a sticker, have an attractive glossy finish. Looking at the shiny cardboard, I'm reminded of those expensive kids' books that unfold like an accordion.
It's guaranteed to catch a kid's eye and hold their attention.
Product designThe packaging quality is top-notch: the cardboard is sturdy, glued neatly, and all the inscriptions are clear and readable.They've got all the info you need from the manufacturer: description, composition, method of application, precautions, weight, shelf life, and storage conditions, as well as info about the manufacturer, GOST number, etc.
Product informationIt's super easy to get the balm out of the primary packaging, even on the go, without needing any additional tools (scissors).
Primary cardboard packagingI've got to say, there's no tamper-evident seal on this product.The packaging itself is pretty cool - the plastic cylindrical case is a winner. The lid fits snugly, but not too tightly, and it doesn't slip off. It opens and closes with a satisfying click.
The sticker on the case is applied perfectly – it doesn't come off when you use it.
The extendable mechanism on the case works flawlessly: it gives you the right length of stick and holds it securely in place.
The balm itself, in stick form, sits firmly and evenly in the case's indentation, and it doesn't fall out even when you extend it to its full length.
Balm in stick formatThe stick is a standard size – about 2.5 cm long – and has one beveled edge for easy application.Manufacturer's description.
Manufacturer's descriptionThe 'Mi-mi-mi' balm is designed for caring for sensitive skin in babies.
Nourishes and protects lips from windburn in winter and bad weather.
Panthenol, chamomile extract, and vitamin E have a soothing, restoring, and calming effect, helping to eliminate dryness and flakiness.
The manufacturer's description of their product is super concise and humble – I like that.
It's honest, in my opinion. No superlatives or fairy-tale promises here.
Indications for use.
Nourishment and protection of lips from windburn in winter and bad weather.
Lip balm usually has more therapeutic properties than lip gloss, so it usually has more indications for use listed.
Contraindications.
Individual intolerance to components.
The only contraindication for using this product is listed – unfortunately, there's a risk of allergic reactions to one of the components.
Especially be careful if you're allergic to bee products, as this balm contains natural beeswax.
For those with allergies, there's a hypoallergenic balm from the 'Mi-mi-mi' brand – Intensive Protection: it has the same composition, but with synthetic beeswax instead of natural, and chamomile extract replaced with bisabolol.
Composition.
I'm super picky about the ingredients in my cosmetics, and I've got to say, I'm curious to see what's inside this balm.
You’ve probably heard the whole thing about women going through five kilos of lipstick in their lifetime. But, let’s be real, guys get some of that “treat” too.
Apparently, it’s not just a myth.
According to the experts at Roskachestvo, the average woman actually consumes about one kilo of lipstick in her lifetime. And if the formula of your lipstick (balm) is less than ideal and contains some pretty sketchy stuff, it’s not just your lip skin that’s at risk – it’s your whole body. That’s my two cents.
I’m stoked to report that the formula of this kid-friendly balm for lips is a total winner in my book.
Take a look for yourself below.
The formula of Mi-mi-mi’s ‘Winter Worry’ balm Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Beeswax, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ozokerite, Lanolin, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Panthenol, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Stevioside, Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Parfum, Tocopherol (mixed), Beta-Sitosterol, Squalene.
I love that this product’s formula is free from all the potentially hazardous stuff. It’s basically like a natural product!
A reminder from the manufacturer The manufacturer reminds us that their product contains some pretty well-known ingredients like panthenol, chamomile extract, and vitamin E.
But they’re being a bit modest about the other beneficial, yet lesser-known ingredients:
like squalene, stevioside, beta-sitosterol, lanolin, vitamin C, natural oils, and waxes.
I want to highlight the amazing benefits of beta-sitosterol:
- it’s got some serious anti-inflammatory properties;
- it helps skin heal, reducing itchiness, redness, and irritation;
- it restores the skin’s barrier function;
- it protects skin from UV radiation, acting as a natural sunscreen;
- it strengthens skin by inhibiting the breakdown of the dermis.
The stevioside in this balm, paired with vitamin C, likely acts as a natural preservative, as
Stevia is prized in cosmetics not only for its sweetness but also for its “preservative” properties. Its use in cream and lotion production allows for a reduction in synthetic preservatives, making these products more natural and safer.
I’ve gotta say, lanolin and squalene are total skin saviors – they’re amazing at soothing and healing dry, irritated skin.
"}But there's one ingredient in this balm that's got me a little worried: ozokerite, also known as mountain wax. It's an emulsifier, similar to paraffin, and I've got to admit, I'm a bit curious about its safety.
Apparently, its biophysical and physical properties are basically identical to those of paraffin.
For the sake of transparency, I've included a breakdown of the balm's ingredients and their safety ratings from Ecogolik.
Оценка состава с сайта ЭкоголикHow to use.
Способ примененияI've got to say, the instructions are pretty straightforward - just apply it to dry areas. But I've got a friend who uses it as a lip balm and also applies it to her heels and toes on the go. She swears by it for dry, cracked skin.Shelf life and storage.
Дата изготовленияThe manufacturing date is stamped on the packaging, which is a nice touch. That way, you can easily keep track of when the balm was made and when it's due to expire.
Условия хранения и срок годностиJust remember that once you start using the balm, its shelf life is reduced to 12 months.
Store it in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources like batteries - it can melt and separate.
Texture, color, scent, taste.
Цвет бальзамаThis balm has a thick, rich texture that's similar to a solid balm or a stick of butter. It's got a creamy color with a slight yellow tint - it's opaque and even, without any sparkles or additives. And the best part? It doesn't stain your lips!The scent is pleasant, reminiscent of freshly poured, cold lemonade.
The scent is subtle: you can only catch a whiff of it when you're close to the stick. It's barely noticeable on your lips.
This balm actually tastes like bubble gum - you know, the kind of chewy gum from the 90s without the minty flavor.
The cosmetic product is slightly sweet, no bitterness, no chill.
Balm.
BalmSkin tone is not affected, but it gives a greasy shine.Experience and results.
Let's be honest, lip balm isn't a crucial part of my makeup routine.
With naturally unremarkable, unnoticeable lips, I usually don't wear lipstick or use a nude makeup look to avoid drawing attention to them.
However, my sensitive skin gets easily irritated by the cold, wind, UV rays reflecting off the snow, and so on. Of course, lips need proper care not just in winter, but all year round.
That's why I'm quite fond of lip balms. I've been using them quite frequently lately.
Especially during the mask-wearing period, colorless balms became a must-have for me since they don't leave a colored residue when applied over a tightly-fitting mask.
How did the 'Winter Care' lip balm perform?
I've been using this balm for about two months now (around 4 months total) in both cold and warm temperatures. Some impressions have formed.
My lips without balm (just a contour pencil) look like this: dry, sensitive, with visible wrinkles, and sometimes with flakiness and small cracks.
Lips BEFORE applying balmApplication.When you touch the warm skin of your lips, the balm melts and glides smoothly, leaving a greasy, slightly viscous residue from natural oils.
When applied, the product doesn't run beyond the lip contour, even with multiple layers, distributing evenly.
Lips immediately AFTER applying balm. That's what my lips look like right after applying the balm. Light flakiness is masked immediately.Feelings.
I'm really impressed that this balm doesn't leave a sticky film on my lips. Instead, I get a smooth, silky sensation that feels like a gentle blanket covering my lips.
My inflamed lip skin calms down within a few hours of applying the balm - the burning and tingling sensations disappear.
The feeling of dryness and tightness on my skin vanishes instantly after applying the balm.
The balm doesn't irritate my lip skin, and I don't feel any cooling or warming effects - it's just pure comfort.
Longevity.
My lips two hours after applying the balmThe photo above shows my lips two hours after applying the balm (no eating or drinking in between).This balm is seriously nourishing and takes its sweet time to absorb, giving my lips a reliable shield against harsh external factors. About two hours after applying the balm, I still notice a greasy sheen on my lips, but it gradually absorbs, and the dryness disappears.
Healing and moisturizing properties: soothing, smoothing, hydrating, nourishing, and protecting against environmental stressors.
After using the balm for an extended period (days, months), my lip skin transforms: fine lines become less noticeable, my skin becomes more elastic, and cracks don't appear as often, and dry patches are fewer and farther between.
As a result, my lip skin looks healthier and more radiant.
Initially, within a couple of days, shallow cracks and dry patches healed, and the dark spots in the corners of my lips started to fade (I applied it in conjunction with vitamin B supplements).
My lips feel soft immediately after applying the balm and throughout the day.
The moisturizing effect is subtle, but the nourishing effect is more pronounced.
I tested the balm in freezing conditions (-10°C): no chapping occurred as long as the balm was on my lips.
If your little one has a habit of licking their lips, you might need to reapply the balm outdoors.
Usage.
When using it daily, a couple of times a day, the first tube lasted me about three months. However, you can use the product at varying intensities, so the usage will vary.
- it heals lip damage incredibly well;
- it keeps my lips smooth for a long time;
- with long-term use, my lip skin looks better;
- it protects against chapping;
- the balm's packaging is convenient and of high quality;
- it has a pleasant scent;
- the formula is excellent;
- it's affordable.
Cons: I didn't find any.
Conclusion.
I'm thoroughly stoked with the 'Winter Care' balm in action: it delivers excellent lip care, is a pleasure to use, and offers great value for the price.
Maybe you'll be just as excited as I am.
Thanks for checking out my review.
