- The bottle itself is a bit heavy, but that's a minor complaint – I can handle it.
- I wish it came in a smaller size for travel or small loads, but I guess that's not the worst thing in the world.

Editor's Summary
I've tried a bunch of dishwasher detergents in my quest for the perfect cleaning product, but Somat is the one that finally delivers. It's a total game changer for me, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a cleaning enthusiast. The price can be steep, but trust me, it's worth every penny.
Specifications
I've tried a ton of dishwasher detergents in my quest for the holy grail of cleaning products.
This includes the well-known Finish powder, then there was Mr. Fresh, Energizer tablets, and a couple of other ones that didn't make the cut.
I got Somat on the recommendation of a colleague who was also on the hunt for a long time.
And then it showed up on my cleaning supplies shelf, looking all innocent and whatnot.
The price in stores is pretty steep, so I decided to do some digging and look for it on the markets instead.
The price at Magnit Cosmetics is 1300 rubles (and that's with a discount!) for a 3kg bottle, good for 100 loads.
When I checked out the always-reliable Valbderis, I saw a price of 1200 rubles, which is already better. Yandex Market was a bit cheaper, at 1150 rubles.
But Ozone really surprised me with a price of 730 rubles for the same 3kg.
I bought it during the Black Friday sales, and I'm kinda kicking myself for not buying more.
According to customer reviews, the powder is the original deal. The packaging, by the way, isn't the most convenient - it's too big and has a wide mouth. So I transferred some of the powder to the packaging from my old detergent.
It looks like a regular powder - white, not too fine, and has some colored particles. It doesn't have a strong chemical smell, which is a definite plus in my book.
As soon as I got the coveted bottle, I started the test drive - I deliberately got my dishes dirty, because, why not?
I tested it for several days in a row, using glassware, a greasy frying pan, a spatula, and some grechka, as well as cups from my kid's room.
I've got a pretty grimy load to show you. There's a plate with leftover meatballs, a plate with ice cream that's been sitting out overnight, and some plates from dinner with dried-on grechka.
But I didn't stop there...I loaded it up to the max: glass lids, jars, cups, and plastic containers.
I ran the cycle for 2 hours at 90 degrees - just to be sure!
And, guess what? Everything came out sparkling clean. I was particularly impressed with the glassware and plates after cooking grechka. My previous detergents struggled to get the job done, even at high temperatures.
Glassware after grechkaI'll show you a few more before-and-after pics. I was pleasantly surprised with the results, even at lower temperatures.
Clean dishesThe results were impressive here too.
Spatula after fatty meatCup with dried yogurtCups and glass tea infuser after yogurtI don't have the rinse aid or extra rinse function on my dishwasher, but even without it, the powder completely rinses off. There's no powder residue or detergent smell on the dishes. Just make sure to dose the powder correctly when loading the dishwasher.
I'm stoked to have finally found a dishwasher detergent that actually gets the job done - Somat powder is now my go-to choice.
