Why I'm Not Sold on Solomeya

I've been on the hunt for a new hairbrush that's going to make a splash, and this year Solomeya's caught my eye. I have to admit, I bought it on a whim because it's just so unique and it's got that lovely scented thing going on.

Where I bought it. I picked it up from Golden Apple online store.Price. At the time of purchase, it was 430 rubles, and now it's 500 rubles. Either way, it's a pretty affordable price point.

The hairbrush came in its branded box.

The hairbrush wasn't fully enclosed in the box, but it didn't get damaged during shipping.There's a Russian-language sticker on the plastic packaging.

My impressions.

Let's start with the hairbrush's design. It's really unique and has this sweet, feminine vibe going on.

It's got this really cool, labyrinthine design on the teeth, which is pretty interesting. The middle part of the hairbrush is flexible, so it bends.

I've gotta say, the Solomeya comb is a bit too bulky for my taste, so I wouldn't take it with me on a trip. The teeth are made of plastic and don't have those little balls on the end that I love. I mean, who doesn't love a good detangling experience, right? But, let me tell you, the scent of this comb is amazing - it smells like strawberry! It's such a mood booster. I've been using this comb for over three months now, and while the scent is still there, it's not as strong as it was when I first got it. I'm not sure if it's because I've gotten used to it or what, but it's still a nice little perk. A little bit about my hair and scalp.My scalp is super sensitive and prone to issues. My hair is fluffy, porous, and has been bleached multiple times - it's a real pain to deal with. I've tried everything from coconut oil to argan oil, but nothing seems to work for long.

So, the first thing that really bothered me was how the teeth of the comb scrape against my scalp. It feels like I'm getting a scalp shave! I'm really not a fan of using Solomeya on my scalp - it's just too harsh. I know some people might like the massaging effect, but I haven't noticed any difference in hair growth. Plus, I prefer a gentler comb that won't irritate my skin. But for the length, the teeth feel kinda weak. I've had to use it a few times to get through my hair, and it's just not what I'm looking for in a comb.The comb gets stuck in my hair, which is super frustrating. I've had to wrestle with it a few times to get it out, and it's just not worth the hassle.

I also noticed that it gives me static - maybe that's just because of my porous hair. You could use it for styling, but I think it's only good for setting the roots in place. I'd say it's better suited for natural hair, but my daughter didn't like it either. She has super curly hair, and it just didn't work for her. I'm not sure if it's because of the material or what, but it's just not a good fit for us.Since I take care of my hair in multiple ways, I decided to see how it would work on damp hair. Apparently, masks work better when you comb through your hair and get it oxygenated. I tried it out, and it was okay, but not great. I mean, it's not like it was a game-changer or anything.

Solomeya does a decent job on wet hair, but it's not perfect - there's still a feeling of incomplete combing. I've tried using it with different products, but nothing seems to make a difference. I'm just not impressed with the product, to be honest. I've given it multiple chances, but I just can't bring myself to love it.I've gotta say, the idea behind this product is kinda cool - it's a fresh take on something we've all used before. But, let's get real, you can make any comb smell amazing with just a few drops of your fave essential oil.

For me, it's just not worth it. I've been using I Love my Hair for years now, and I'm actually surprised it's not more popular.
