I've been on a roll with vacuum reviews lately, and it's time to share my thoughts on another reliable workhorse that's passed the test and still brings me joy.

Today, it's the Samsung SC4181's turn.

Before this vacuum, I was all about cyclones. They seemed more modern, complete, and powerful. Not without their downsides, but where's the fun in that? However, time went on, and I found myself vacuuming my old, unrenovated apartment with a bunch of fluffy pets twice a day. I spent my days cleaning and washing the filters, trying not to get too overwhelmed. My patience finally wore off when I forgot to put the cleaned filters back in place and ended up vacuuming an entire room without them. Just imagine all that dust flying out of the corners and into the air! I wanted to sit down and cry, it was such a waste of effort... Don't get me wrong, cyclonic vacuums aren't to blame, but I think they're better suited for cleaner spaces and more organized people.

That's when I decided to go for a bag vacuum. 'Back to the future,' I thought. But in reality, they're just as modern and cool.

I chose this model for three main reasons:

The package comes with three brushes. Honestly, I'm not exactly lucky with brushes, so I'm not even looking at them. I thought if I didn't like them, I'd just use the old ones.

I have to admit, I wasn't blown away by this vacuum the first time I tried it, but the second time around, I'm a total convert. It's a total dust-sucking machine - it picks up dust, hair, lint, and even crumbs, no matter where they're located on the floor.

I saw somewhere that one of the life hacks for this model is to remove the big wheels on the brush, which makes the brush fit tighter to the floor and increases suction power. I haven't tried it, but it's definitely a good idea.

I usually crank it up to max, but even on medium settings, this vacuum is pretty powerful.

It glides across the floor with ease, doesn't tip over like my old cyclone vacuum used to, and it's not too heavy, but sturdy enough:

One thing that did bug me was the quality of the plastic. The attachments feel a bit flimsy to me, and the plastic on this vacuum looks pretty cheap. But so far, nothing's broken, so maybe I'm just being paranoid.

My cat loves to snoop around while the vacuum is out of commission. This thing inserts into the vacuum's opening and stays put on that plastic bit. The tube rotates inside the body, making it super maneuverable. I've had my cat try to get tangled up in it a few times, but it's held up great.

As for the noise level, it's pretty moderate. It's not silent, but it's not super loud either. It's on par with my old vacuum, which is a good thing because I've got a bunch of noise complaints from my neighbors already.

I'm really happy with the weight, power cord length, suction power, and dust bag capacity! The weight is super light, which makes it easy to move around the house. And the suction power is way stronger than my old vacuum.

What I want to highlight:

? The vacuum body and brushes don't get statically charged, so it doesn't collect dust and hair like crazy, and I don't have to constantly wipe it down. It's a total game-changer for me.

? There's a dust bag full indicator. I clean often, but it's still nice to have. It's one less thing to worry about.

? It's super easy to clean and disassemble. The filters are there too, but they don't require as much TLC as my old cyclone vacuum. I've already washed them a few times and they're still going strong.

? The blow function. I've never had a vacuum with this feature before. It's not something I use daily, but it's super useful when I need it. In the first few days, I used it to blow out dust from keyboard crevices and under my computer. I was confused at first - I thought the power regulator was the key - but it's actually just a matter of swapping the hose to the blow outlet on the back of the unit. It's pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it.

One thing that bugged me:

I ordered it online for in-store pickup, and the website said it came with a reusable dust bag and a set of disposable ones. I was stoked about the disposables - they're so convenient! But when I got the vacuum, I completely forgot about them. And they weren't in the box. So, I'm just using the reusable one. The box only had the vacuum and a few instructions. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to order some disposables online now.

But honestly, that's not even relevant to the vacuum itself. I've gotta say, I'm really impressed with this model so far - it's been a game-changer for me. The suction power is insane, cleaning is a breeze, and maintenance is a total cinch. Fingers crossed it'll keep performing like this for years to come!
