Hello everyone!
I'm super stoked to share my review of the Rove Dubai Marina 3*, UAE, Dubai - we just got back and I'm still buzzing from the experience!
We stayed at the hotel from December 22nd to December 27th, 2024, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable trip.
Rove Dubai MarinaSince we booked a package tour with a tour operator, I can only say that the cost of the tour was 176,000 rubles for 3 people, 2 adults, and a 12-year-old child, for 5 nights, including breakfast and dinner - not bad, if you ask me!
Location:
The hotel is situated in the heart of the Dubai Marina area, about 30 km from the airport - a pretty convenient distance, if you ask me. Plus, it's just a 15-minute walk to the JBR beach, which is one of those super Instagrammable beaches with a beautiful promenade and street, where you can find plenty of cafes, entertainment options, and even spot some cool cars. There are also loads of shops, cafes, a pharmacy, and the metro station and Marina Mall are within walking distance, and an artificial canal where you can take a beautiful yacht ride or just stroll and take in the views.
The hotel offers daily transfers to the beach, DMCC metro station, Dubai Mall, and Marina Mall, which is super convenient.
I've got to say, the hotel's location is basically unbeatable.
Hotel:
The thing that really stood out to me was that they don't take a deposit.
We took a transfer to get to the hotel, and the ride took around an hour - we were the last ones to arrive, which was a bit of a bummer.
The entrance area is seriously nicely decorated - since we were there the day before New Year's, everything was all decked out in festive colors and decorations.
Check-in was a total breeze - there was a Russian-speaking girl at the front desk who explained everything to us and even gave us a room with an amazing view.
The hotel is a 19-story building - we were on the 15th floor, but the first five floors are labeled with letters instead of numbers, which was a bit confusing at first.
As soon as you step into the hotel, you're hit with the aromas of the East - there are these Eastern-scented diffusers on every floor, which was really cool.
The ground floor has the restaurant, front desk, a storage room, and on the next two floors, there's a pool, some entertainment options, a gym, a prayer room, a conference room, and a laundry room - it's basically like a mini-resort.
There are six super-fast elevators, which was a lifesaver with all the luggage we had.
Room:
We were given room 1504 on the 15th floor (which, of course, is actually the 18th floor - I guess they're counting the lobby as the first floor or something). You open the door with an electronic key card, which was really convenient.
I was blown away by the sick view from the window - the canal and part of the sea were right there. The big window can be opened, and the blackout curtains are top-notch.
The room was spotless, with a super-cool light-colored theme and a rad picture made up of symbols.
The room's size is standard, but the super-high ceilings make it feel way bigger.
In the entryway, there's a closet and a huge mirror, with tile flooring.
The floor in the room is covered in carpet.
We had a huge double bed and a small fold-out for my son. The bed was super comfy, with great pillows, bedding, and a blanket.
There were bedside tables, a small round table, and bedside lamps. We also had a safe, a mini-fridge, and a big table, plus a massive plasma TV.
Every day, we'd restock the mini-fridge with water and replenish the tea set, which included black and green tea, ground coffee, sugar, and creamer. I've got to say, it was nice to have those little luxuries available.The room came equipped with a kettle, cups, and glasses. It was one of those little things that made a big difference in my stay.
The air conditioner with its sensor buttons worked flawlessly. I mean, it was like it was reading my mind – it always seemed to kick in right when I needed it to.
The hair dryer was stored in the closet. Not that I used it much, but it was nice to know it was there.
The Wi-Fi was decent, and I had no issues with messaging apps. I was able to stay connected with friends and family back home without any problems.
Bathroom:
The bathroom was spacious, with a wonky sink and mirror, a toilet, a shower cubicle, and a separate shower stall. It was a bit quirky, but it worked.
Towels were provided in full, and they were replaced daily – all I had to do was put them on the floor. I also found toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, soap, toilet paper, and a hair dryer in the bathroom. The best part? There were no weird smells, moisture, or mold in the bathroom. It was actually one of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen in a hotel.
Pool:
The pool was located on the second floor, and it was spotless, with warm water and plenty of sunbeds. You could also get a beach towel from the pool area. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day.
Fitness Center:
The fitness center was located next to the pool and was accessible with a key card from my room. It was spacious, well-lit, and well-equipped. I was able to get a great workout in every day.
Entertainment and Work:
One of the best things about this place is that you can get some work done if you want to. They've got computers, comfy desks, chairs, and even soundproof booths where you can have meetings.
For entertainment, they've got a PlayStation, Pac-Man, table football, golf, and table tennis. We actually spent a lot of time playing tennis and football.We were really impressed with the food here.
Food:
We had breakfast and dinner here.
When you come to the restaurant, you just call out your room number and they'll show you to your table.
The food was amazing.
Breakfast was a buffet.
They had all sorts of drinks, including different types of coffee, tea, juices, and even milk and water with lemon.
The buffet had all the usual suspects, but what really stood out was the presence of smoked salmon, olives, and a variety of cheeses, including camembert and cheddar. They also had dried fruits, pastries, greens, and fresh fruit like mango, watermelon, and pineapple.
Dinners were served from 2 pm to 10 pm.
I was blown away by the meals, which included two dishes from the menu and one drink.
The portions were huge, delicious, and beautifully presented, with friendly waitstaff.
We ordered the Caesar, poke, shrimp, cod, various desserts (chocolate, tiramisu, carrot), pizza, tacos, burger, chicken with fries, pasta with shrimp and capers, bolognese, and our top pick - the red fish with purée and veggies.
Check-in and check-out:
Check-in after 4 pm, if there are available rooms, they'll let you in earlier. Check-out by 12 pm, but if your flight's late, you can leave your stuff in storage and head out to explore until your transfer arrives.
The verdict:
I really loved this hotel, unlike those beach resorts with huge territories, this city hotel has almost no territory, but in Dubai, you're meant to explore, not sit around on the premises. There's plenty to see, free public beaches, clean and spacious.
No wristbands like in Turkey, just swipe your room card to get the elevator moving.
There's plenty to explore around the hotel, the waterfront had a drone show, yachts, cars, and endless sights.
Dubai's trio can't compete with Turkey's or Egypt's five-star resorts in terms of territory, but when it comes to food, service, and amenities, it's a different story.
& Convenient location;
& Clean rooms;
& Great service, amenities, and Russian-speaking staff;
& Reasonable price;
& Transfer to popular locations;
& Pool, gym, games, and a spot to get some work done.
The verdict:
Rove Dubai Marina 3*, UAE, Dubai - I highly recommend it.
