  • The book does offer some useful tips on habits, such as paying attention to your internal monologue and enjoying the joy and beauty in life. John Kehoe's ideas on the importance of taking action and developing your mental strength are not bad, but they're not exactly new or groundbreaking either. The book does encourage you to be more mindful and present in the moment, which is a good thing. The writing style is engaging, and the author's enthusiasm is infectious – at least, it was for me at first. The book does cover some interesting topics, such as the concept of quantum fields and the power of positive thinking. I did find some of the book's ideas on visualization and journaling to be helpful, but they're not unique to this book. The book does have some good advice on how to develop a positive mindset, but it's not presented in a way that's easy to follow or apply.

  • The book is full of weird, rambling ideas that are hard to follow and understand. The author's use of scientific concepts, such as quantum fields, is shallow and lacks depth. The book relies too heavily on fluff and magic, rather than concrete, actionable advice. The author's tone is overly optimistic and unrealistic – it's hard to relate to someone who's always talking about the power of positive thinking. The book is a total waste of time – there's nothing in it that'll actually help you develop as a person or improve yourself. I was disappointed by the book's lack of concrete advice and its overly optimistic tone. The book's ideas on quantum fields and the power of positive thinking are confusing and hard to follow. The book does not provide any concrete strategies for achieving success or happiness. The book's writing style is engaging, but it's not enough to make up for the book's lack of substance.

Editor's Summary

I'm not a fan of self-help books, but I dove into John Kehoe's 'The Quantum Warrior: Consciousness of the Future' after discovering Alina Gess on Instagram. I was expecting a game-changer, but what I got was a bunch of fluff and magic. The book's ideas on quantum fields and the power of positive thinking are confusing and hard to follow. I'm not buying into the idea of becoming a 'quantum warrior' – it sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. After reading this book, I realized that I don't need to turn off my logic to be positive or achieve my goals. I'm sticking to what works for me: taking action and being realistic. I was disappointed by the book's lack of concrete advice and its overly optimistic tone. Don't waste your time on this book – it's a total letdown.

Hello everyone!

I have to admit, since I got into Instagram, where everything's sugar-coated for various motivators, 'marathons of desires', the theory of so-called 'positive thinking' has quietly crept in.

I'm not saying I didn't know anything about this beforehand, but in my close circle, there's someone who's into it: they constantly participate in various seminars, have a ton of literature at home, and their attitude towards everything else is always positive, never judging, always trying to see the good side, etc. They don't push anything on me, don't try to enlighten me, but it's not easy to talk to them either - they're super sensitive, clingy with words, and overly trusting. They have a huge stash of plans and desires, but in the 10 years I've known them, they haven't moved an inch in that direction. It's a pretty toxic mix.

I knew about positive thinking, but I didn't practice it myself. To be honest, I've always been skeptical about self-improvement and working on one's consciousness.

And that was all before I stumbled upon Alina Gess on Instagram. I gradually became interested in various practices and rituals, and then got hooked on the literature she recommended. Among them were two books by John Kehoe: "The Power of Your Subconscious" and "The Quantum Warrior: Consciousness of the Future".

I did order both, on Labyrinth. It was 3 years ago. Each cost around 300 rubles.

Again, I bought the books 3 years ago! And it took me a while to get to them.

I read one of them in the fall of 2019, and "The Quantum Warrior: Consciousness of the Future" only in February 2020.

The stages of my reading this book can be roughly divided into:

1. Confusion

2. What a load of nonsense!

3. Finally, I agree with the author

5. No, I must have imagined it.

The book has 217 pages, 13 chapters, but most of them are boring, and I read it for a week.

So, who is the quantum warrior, according to Keho?

The quantum warrior is a new hero of the modern world. To embark on this path means to become a complete person, to absorb all the best that can be in a person. This is the path of wonderful discoveries about oneself and the boundless universe. This is a new way to achieve success and become happy.

Then come the musings about how the universe exists in the form of quantum fields, and the past, future, and present are in one dimension, right here and now.

Keho denies the linearity of time and questions the Newtonian model, calling it 'hopelessly outdated'.

Keho confirms all his wild ideas with experiments that were supposedly conducted somewhere, sometime, but he only mentions the experimenter's name - that's a solid argument, just as convincing as 'British scientists have proven it'.

No one's bothered by the fact that it's been 10 years since the spaceflight?! The twin must have refueled with positive thoughts!

When I showed some chapters to my husband, who's a physicist, he politely asked me to stop making fun of him with this kind of literature. I guess that's not exactly the target audience for John Keho.

Apparently, he's counting on readers who don't know the first thing about basic physics concepts, like me – a humanities major.

At first, I was reading along, thinking, 'Wow, yeah, this is all pretty confusing, I bet it's super smart.'

But as I got deeper into the book, I just couldn't find the point.

It wasn't until chapter 10, almost at the end of the book, that I stumbled upon some useful information for me about the habits of a quantum warrior. It's nothing new, but I'll write it down here:

1) Pay attention to your internal monologue.

2) Stop worrying about trivial things.

3) Enjoy the joy and beauty.

4) Live in the moment.

5) Develop your character.

6) Keep a journal to write down your goals.

7) 'Weave a web' – in other words, regularly practice the previous six points.

And it's only in chapter 10 that John Keho writes, 'It's not enough to just want it, you need to take action.' Can you believe it? And he presents it as some kind of ultimate truth.

Meanwhile, the first half of the book is all fluff and magic, talking about 'just wanting it.' I'm sure some readers never made it that far.

John advises not only taking action but also working on developing your mental strength every day for at least 30 minutes through visualizations, journaling, detailed dream recordings, affirmations, and so on.

I gave it a shot.

This takes a lot of energy and time, more than 30 minutes a day, and it takes away from my family or my job, which I actually enjoy.

And personally, I didn't get any enjoyment out of it. I like keeping a journal, but writing every day? Or searching for things to be grateful for when I'm feeling down? Yeah, right.

That's what Keho recommends, and if you overcome your own limitations, you'll become a quantum warrior, a hero of modern times.

But what about the fact that a warrior is submissive, can't be himself, and has to constantly reflect attacks and transform into a more perfect warrior?

That's not really my cup of tea.

I was writing, thinking, and trying to be positive, but the more I read, the more I felt like I was hitting some kind of emotional rock bottom.

But chapter 11, Quantum Time, finally snapped me out of it and made me realize I was reading some kind of nonsense.

Here are the photos.

To understand this, you have to turn off your logic.

For me, the boundary of normal is turning off your logic when you're feeling strong emotions – being deeply in love, upset, happy, and so on,

I had to switch off my logic to make sense of the nonsense in this book. Why bother?

After that, I just couldn't bring myself to read on. I'm no quantum warrior, and I don't want to be.

The verdict: If you're going to read John Kehoe, then "The Quantum Warrior" is a complete waste of time. It's full of weird, rambling ideas and is just too tedious. There's nothing in it that'll actually help you develop as a person or improve yourself. Don't waste your time on it – go for something like "The Power of Will. Develop and Strengthen." instead.

My take on "positive thinking".

It was this book that made me realize how sick I was of all the practices and subconscious work that require you to turn off your logic.

And if you're forcing yourself to do it, it just leaves you feeling drained, not empowered.

No, I still daydream and make wishes, and I still try to look on the bright side of things – but now I do it when I feel like it, in my own way, not because some guru tells me to.

And I've also changed my way of thinking about these kinds of theories – I'm more about taking action in the real world, not some quantum field.)
