Editor's Summary
We've been through a wild ride with our kitten's sensitive stomach. Diarrhea, constipation, bloody stool - you name it, we've seen it. But we're not here to dwell on the bad stuff. We want to share our amazing experience with a probiotic that really delivered. Our vet recommended it, and we're so glad we gave it a try. We've been feeding our kitten natural food since he was a tiny ball of fluff, but as he grew, we started to notice some issues. He'd get aggressive, and his behavior was off. So, we decided to switch him to dry food. Big mistake. He took to it like a pro, but we soon realized that finding the right food was a whole different story. We tried a bunch of different dry foods, from cheap to expensive, but nothing seemed to work. We'd introduce new foods gradually, but our vet would always say, 'Be careful, sudden changes can cause problems.' And boy, was he right. Our little guy would get diarrhea, constipation, or even bloody stool. We were desperate for a solution. That's when our vet told us that our furball had sensitive digestion. We needed to find a balanced food and give him a probiotic to help stabilize his stool. We were hoping for a miracle, and this probiotic delivered.

Hello!
Before I dive into our experience with this probiotic, I want to mention that it was prescribed by our vet. Our furry friend has sensitive digestion, and we had to take him to the vet to figure out what was going on.
Now, let's get down to business.
We've had our mischievous little furball since he was tiny. We fed him natural food, and everything was great. But as he grew, we started to notice some issues. He was getting a bit aggressive, and his behavior was off. So, we decided to switch him to dry food. He took to it like a pro, but we soon realized that finding the right food was a whole different story.

Our little guy would get diarrhea, constipation, or even bloody stool. We were at our wit's end.
That's when our vet told us that our furball had sensitive digestion. We needed to find a balanced food and give him a probiotic to help stabilize his stool.
We've been giving him the probiotic a few times, whenever we're still searching for the perfect dry food. And let me tell you, it's been a wild ride. Every animal is different, and what works for one might not work for another.

Why we chose this probiotic: when we were searching for the perfect dry food, we realized our furball had sensitive digestion. We'd introduce new foods gradually, but our vet would always say, 'Be careful, sudden changes can cause problems.' And boy, was he right. Our little guy would get diarrhea, constipation, or even bloody stool. We were at our wit's end.

What were we expecting when we first tried it?
We were hoping the probiotic would help our furball's digestion and stabilize his stool. Our vet told us that if we're still searching for the perfect dry food, we should give him the probiotic. So, we followed his advice and gave it a try.
Main thing was to make sure my pet wasn't dehydrated while I was figuring out the food and the gut was working properly. Now the food is sorted out. If you're curious about what food worked for my cat, you can check it here.
PACKAGING AND OTHER FEATURES.
The packaging is compact, a small cardboard box that contains a bottle with the supplement and instructions. The basic information is on the cardboard packaging, but you can find more detailed information in the insert that came with the bottle. The bottle itself has protection. When you first open it, you need to remove the protective strip from the bottle. The bottle closes tightly. You don't have to worry about the tablets spilling out.
Product purpose:
This probiotic consists of a complex of probiotic bacteria in tablet form. It's intended for systematic use in the diet of cats, dogs, and other household pets from an early age and throughout their lives.
• It reduces the risk of diseases when transitioning the animal to a different food and stressful situations: dysbiosis (changes in the composition of the intestinal microflora), diarrhea, constipation, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, allergic reactions;
• It contains beneficial probiotic microorganisms that stimulate the immune system of the body;
• It restores the balance of intestinal microflora, displaces and prevents the multiplication of pathogenic bacteria.
EXTERNAL APPEARANCE OF TABLETS.
The tablets are small in size, white in color. The shape of the tablets is round and smooth, so you don't have to worry about your pet getting hurt if you give them a tablet whole. For me, this was really convenient. You don't have to break them or mix them with food. I gave the tablets to my cat straight from my hand. He didn't want to eat them, so I put them in the back of his mouth and stroked his throat. This triggers the swallowing reflex, and the animal swallows the tablet.
Composition:
a complex of lyophilized cultures of probiotic bacteria - bifidobacteria, lactobacilli, streptococci; lactose, dry skim milk, starch, calcium stearate.
Do tablets have a smell?
I didn't notice the scent, but the animal was probably picking up on it. The furry one sniffed the tablet for ages when we first met, then disdainfully swished its paw over it and lost interest. I tried my best, but I couldn't pick up on the scent!
Application recommendations:
- for dogs weighing 10 kg or more - 1 tablet, 1-2 times a day;
- for cats and small-breed dogs - 1 tablet, 1-2 times a day;
- for small-breed puppies, kittens, and rodents - 1 tablet, 1-2 times a day.
You can dissolve the tablet in water for oral administration or mix it with a small amount of food. The treatment course lasts 5-10 days, and you can repeat it monthly.
Our impressions of the supplement.
The result was noticeable on the second day of taking the supplement. Just like the first time, the effect didn't take long to show up. I'm glad it kicks in quickly, because it's not fun watching your pet suffer from health issues!
How we used the product:
I gave the cat one tablet twice a day before meals.
The supplement was easily digestible. I never noticed any vomiting reflexes or other unpleasantness!
Duration of use:
We took the supplement for 10 days, as recommended by the vet. According to the instructions, you can take it for a shorter period, but we were advised to take it for 10 days. I'm a bit of a stickler for the rules, so I followed the instructions to the letter!
When did we notice the positive effect?
It was noticeable on the second day after starting the medication. Let's start with the cat's mood - it became more lively and less aggressive. The nervousness disappeared, and the cat became more calm and stable. As for the stool, it was fully formed by the second day, around evening time. On the first day, it was still a bit runny, but on the second day, we saw an improvement!
How the animal reacted to the supplement:
The cat wasn't interested in eating the supplement, to say the least. It was quite the character, so I had to give it the tablet by force-feeding it. I'd place the tablet at the back of its mouth, then gently stroke its throat to help it swallow. It was all over in a matter of seconds. Then the cat would go about its business, eating and drinking water as usual.
THE VERDICT:
Great value for money;The small tablets are easy to give to my pet by hand;No unpleasant smell was noticed;They work well for diarrhea and constipation;They really helped my pet with sensitive digestion;The formula is as natural as it gets;My pet absorbed them easily (no vomiting or other issues).
This probiotic was a perfect fit for my pet. We've used it a few times, and each time it helped to quickly restore their gut health. Based on our experience with "Lactobifid," I'd definitely recommend it, but don't forget to consult with your vet first!
