Today I'm super stoked to share my honest thoughts on the latest innovation in baby pants - Manu Thin Sensitive.
I picked up a pack of 30 at Detsky Mir, and they're also available on VTB and OZON, but they're a bit pricier there. This pack cost me 899 rubles, although I could've applied a promo code on the website to make it cheaper.
About the Producer:
The pants stand out for their safe composition: no chlorine, formaldehyde, bisphenol A, acrylamide, phthalates, or heavy metals. The absence of fragrances and dyes minimizes the risk of allergic reactions. The pants are treated with hot steam and bleached without using chlorine, providing an additional layer of protection for sensitive skin.
I'll get to the good stuff (not a fan of all that packaging info):
🧸 WHITE PANTS WITHOUT DESIGNS. I grabbed a pack without checking the color, and at first, I thought they were a bit dull. But the best part is that they don't show any designs through clothing. The manufacturer's goal is to minimize the use of harsh chemicals, and I'm all for that. No indicator either, which is a plus, as it's usually made of harsh chemicals.
🧸 SOFT INNER LAYER. These pants are ridiculously soft - like, as soft as a feather. The elastic waistband doesn't dig in, and there are no residue marks after use. I think it's because of the size, though.
🧸 NO ALLERGIES OR DISCOLORATION. Just like with all Manu products, I didn't notice any allergic reactions or discoloration.
🧸 SIZE. My little one weighs 10 kg, and we've been using the ultra-thin Manu 9-14 kg pants. I opted for the 12-17 XL size, and they fit just as well. I also noticed that most brands run a bit small, but these pants are pretty much the same size as the ultra-thin ones.
I've gotta say, the absorbency is on par with the Manu ultra-thin ones. They hold up all night, and we've never had any leaks - even when our little one has a nighttime feeding session. I think it's because I always size up, but the liquid distributes evenly without any clumps. When you take it off, the surface is dry. Some brands have issues with it being all soggy, though.
The thickness is pretty much the same as the ultra-thin ones, if you ask me.
Absorbency-wise, these are a great value.
Ultra-thin ones (58 in a pack) run me around 24 rubles per diaper
Sensitive ones (30 in a pack) are about 30 rubles per diaper.
Yeah, they're a bit pricier, but if the ingredients really are chlorine-free and formaldehyde-free, then it's worth the extra cost.
I did see some reviews mentioning the side elastic being a bit weak and prone to ripping when putting them on, but I haven't had that issue personally.
I'll be buying these periodically and alternating with other types. Definitely recommend them!
