Hello everyone!
I wanted to share my thoughts on reading Ronda Byrne's book, The Secret.
I believe that there are no coincidences in life, and that a certain book will find its way into our sight at the exact moment when we need it.
That's exactly what happened with this book. It found its way into my life during a tough period, and it had a profound impact on my thoughts. It was like having a support system during a difficult time. I'm grateful to the author for writing a book that can heal your soul and make you believe in the best, even when everything seems to be falling apart.
Ronda Byrne's The Secret, reviews/what the book is about
~❤️ Book info:
I stumbled upon this book completely by chance. I was scrolling through Airek's feed and saw it. After reading a review, I thought the book was really useful and that I should get it someday. Then, by a happy (or not so happy) coincidence, I had to travel to another city, and as I was walking past the Chita bookstore, I decided to pop in and see what they had. I had about 3 hours to kill before my train, and I needed something to do. What do you think? Of course, on the shelf, I saw this book. I wasn't looking for it specifically, and at that moment, I had already forgotten about it, but when I saw it on the shelf, I thought, why not buy it now and read it on the train?
The price is a bit fuzzy in my memory, but I think it was around 800-900 rubles. The book looks pretty presentable, and it's actually quite heavy, despite its small size.

The book has a super-cover that's done in brown and red tones. If you take off the super-cover, you'll see the book itself in a hardcover.

The hardcover is sturdy and strong, but the book is also sold in a softcover version. I opted for the hardcover.
The paper is just amazing: it's so smooth, pleasant to the touch, and mellow. It looks really expensive and presentable, and I love books with paper like this, but unfortunately, they're quite rare.
I've got to give it up for the publisher, Exmo, which has a fantastic selection of books.

Ronda Byrne, The Secret, reviews I've also discovered some amazing authors through this book, like Jack Canfield, whose book "The Success Principles" I've already purchased.
And Charles Francis Ankel, with his book "The Master Key System", which will help you live, not just exist. Jack Canfield | The Success Principles Charles Angel | Master Key SystemI found the book easy to read, and I devoured it in no time. If I had more time, I'd probably finish it in two days max. But this book needs to be read multiple times, which is exactly what I'm doing now, as I keep discovering new things with each re-read that I missed the first time around.

~ My take on the book:
When I read the reviews for this book, I came across a ton of negative feedback. People were saying it doesn't work, the book is useless, and so on. But is that really true?
People tend to judge things based on their own experiences, but just because something doesn't work for one person doesn't mean it won't help another. For example, a certain medication might not work for one patient due to their physical characteristics or the nature of their illness, but it might be a game-changer for another patient. It's the same with self-help books and psychological help. I've learned this from my own experience, and I can confidently say that the same book can seem completely useless to me at one point in my life, only to blow my mind when I re-read it a year later. It's just that at some point, my mind was closed to certain information, and at another point, it was wide open. In my opinion, there are no useless books, because every author is trying to get a point across. Sometimes we understand it, and sometimes we see something entirely different, but it's always useful for us in some way.
"Thoughts turn into things."
I've experienced this firsthand, multiple times. Thoughts really do have the power to manifest, and the universe doesn't care whether your thoughts are good or bad. It just does what you think about. Think you're broke? Well, you'll stay broke. Think you're sick? You'll get sicker. It's the same with everything. But if you start pushing away negative thoughts and judgments, your life starts to change.
"Remember: your thoughts are the reason for everything that's happening in your life."
I have to admit, it's hard to believe at first, especially when you have to face the fact that your life is not exactly where it should be.
But when you start to realize that and take responsibility for your life, and stop blaming the universe, God, people, or anyone else, that's when the magic happens. Even one positive thought can change your life for the better. As they say: why worry when you don't have to? I'm still amazed I didn't get it sooner. As soon as I changed my thoughts from negative to positive, things started happening that I never expected.❗ I really appreciated the idea that you shouldn't think negatively about someone or something, you should take responsibility for your life, not blame circumstances for your problems.
When you think badly of someone, negativity gets attracted to your life. Your thoughts can't harm someone else, but they can harm yourself.
I'm signing off on this a million times over. Every person in life has faced some kind of injustice: someone was betrayed by a loved one, someone became a victim of a brutal medical mistake, and so on.
And what do we do in these situations? We start blaming the person who we think is the cause of our problems. Yes, depending on the situation, there is someone else's fault. But when we focus on how bad the person is, how they could have done this to me, and so on, we're not making things worse for anyone else, we're making things worse for ourselves. We need to learn to let go of the negativity and focus on changing something in our lives. It's better to ask yourself: "Okay, what happened, happened. What can I do in this situation?" And by focusing on negativity, we get stuck in this vicious cycle of blame and only delay our mental and possibly physical recovery. If you resist something, you're adding energy and power to the images you don't like, and you're attracting even more of what will make you angry.
And I'm living proof. About 4 months ago, I was really frustrated with my job, the injustice was getting to me, I was angry and wanted something to change. I said a lot of bad things about the place I worked at. I only saw the negatives, and problems kept piling up. I had so much anger and resentment inside me that I wanted to just quit, but for certain reasons, I couldn't. Amidst all this frustration, I was driving (I'm used to driving with one hand), and I said out loud, and repeatedly: where can I put this hand, it's just in the way. And literally, 2 weeks later, I broke my hand in a ridiculous way that's hard to believe. And now my hand wasn't in the way because it was in a cast.
"A person becomes what they think "
✅ I found myself being a bit more mindful of everything that's going on. And I noticed one important thing: if I ask a question, I'll definitely get an answer, but whether I'll see it is up to me. I was on the bus once, and I was asking myself a question that had been bugging me for over a year. And I just happened to overhear my mom say something to her son, which was: "Don't start something you can't finish". And that was the answer to the question that had been on my mind for so long. When you start living mindfully, you find answers to many questions, and they come in different ways: either you hear something, see something, or read it in a book or watch it in a movie. And it all leaves a mark in your heart.
"You get what you feel, not always what you think". Bob Doyle.
This quote is really true. You should always try to be in a good mood, then good things will come into your life, and you'll have plenty of reasons to be happy and joyful.
✅ And if you're not sure if you're on the right path or not, then Jack Canfield's statement will help you:
"Our feelings are a feedback mechanism; they tell us if we're on the right track or off course". Jack Canfield.
