Specifications
Hello!
I've been obsessed with this nightlight from Fix Price for ages, and I'm stoked to finally share my thoughts on the Flarx nightlight with a USB cable. I mean, who doesn't need a cute little nightlight, right? I kept telling myself I didn't need it, but spoiler alert: I totally did.
Flarx Nightlight with USB Cable
Price - 6 Belarusian rubles (199 rubles)
Let's be real, I've been eyeing this nightlight for ages, but I kept convincing myself I already had enough (little did I know, I was about to add another one to my collection). I mean, who doesn't love a good nightlight, right?
But one day, when I was feeling down, I decided to treat myself and grab this little guy. I mean, it's not every day you get to buy a nightlight, am I right?
I've got three of these cuties: a girl, a boy (just like mine), and a third one with a more playful face. Yeah, I know, I'm a nightlight hoarder.
They all come in transparent, open packaging:
Packaging
This is actually a great thing, as you can see the nightlight and check for any cracks. I mean, who wants to buy a nightlight with a crack, right?
At the back, there are screws that hold the two halves of the nightlight together:
Back - 2 screws
I spent ages deciding which one to get, as some of them had a gap on top and looked like they might fall apart. So, I chose the one without the gap. I mean, who wants a nightlight that's gonna fall apart, right?
No gap on topBut it wasn't until I got home that I noticed there's a gap on the paw, and it wobbles back and forth:
Gap on the pawThe build quality is a bit of a letdown.
⚪ So, what are the pros of this nightlight?
1) The 100cm USB cable
USB CableThis thing has been a total game-changer for me - I no longer have to constantly replace batteries in my nightlights. I've got a bunch of other Fix Price nightlights that are battery-powered, and let me tell you, it's a real pain.
I've gotta say, one thing I really loved about this light is that the USB port is located at the back. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference.

USB cableAs soon as I got home, I pulled out the old power adapter that I'd be using for this light. It's not the prettiest thing, but it gets the job done.

2) The presence of a touch-sensitive brightness control button
I mean, it's not a necessity, but it's definitely a nice touch. I have to say, it's way more fun to tap on a touch-sensitive button than a regular one. It's just one of those little things that makes the experience feel more premium.

3) The fact that it has three brightness modes
This is super convenient and cool. Let me tell you, these modes are not just for show - each one is significantly brighter than the last. It's really nice to be able to adjust the brightness to your liking.
⚪ Key info
All the important details are printed right on the stickers attached to the light. I didn't bother reading it in the store, but if you're into that sort of thing, you can zoom in and take a closer look.

How does the lamp look in each brightness mode?
I'll show you the lamp itself in each mode first, and then how it lights up the objects around it.
So, mode 1, the dimmest:
The dimmest mode (1)I use this mode most often because it's already dim enough to help me wind down without straining my eyes.
Mode 2 is already much brighter:
Medium mode (2)It already lights up the whole room pretty well.
Mode 3 is the brightest:
The brightest mode (3)With this mode, the lamp lights up the room almost as much as daylight. It's super bright – I didn't expect a little guy like this to shine so brightly.
Now I'll show you how the lamp lights up objects around it.
I'll use my other lamps as examples.
So, in mode 1:

In mode 2:

In mode 3:
Lighting in mode 3
The difference between modes 2 and 3 isn't super clear in the photos, but trust me, it's noticeable in real life. And mode 1 is definitely much dimmer compared to the others.
The main downside of my other lamps is that they run on batteries.
And let me tell you, it's not just one or two tiny batteries that are a pain to find – we're talking three of them.
Plus, they lose their brightness super fast with regular use and before you know it, they're barely giving off any light at all. You're replacing them pretty often.
That's why I'm so stoked I got this USB-powered nightlight. It's been a total game-changer for me.
I'm totally recommending the Misyutka lamp, because it's not only adorable, but it also lights up amazingly with 3 brightness modes. You can choose the mode that suits any situation. For the price, this nightlight is a total find!
