I've got to say, Feng Shui is actually pretty cool. It's designed to bring balance and harmony to your space, which is perfect for anyone looking to chill out and create a peaceful atmosphere. The idea is simple: arrange your surroundings to promote relaxation and reduce stress. I've seen it work wonders for people who are feeling overwhelmed.

Hello everyone!

My backstory

I've been into Feng Shui since I was a kid, and it's been the game-changer that transformed my family's life from absolute chaos to a much better one. Growing up, we were dirt poor. My mom was on the brink of death, and my dad worked day and night on tough jobs. The only wealth we had was our family bond. We didn't have any bad habits, and we were a super hardworking family that struggled to make ends meet. They tried everything to earn more and improve our lives, but it all fell apart.

When I was around 10, I stumbled upon Natalia Pravdina's book 'I Fulfill My Desires' – a positive psychology book with surface-level Feng Shui tips. But it was that book that shifted my perspective on negative thinking. I started repeating affirmations like 'everything will get better' to my parents, and I got rid of all the negativity in our home. Almost immediately, my mom got a great job at a bank, and my dad landed a decent job too. We took out a loan to buy a house that was twice as expensive as what we could afford, thanks to my mom's new job. We created a vision board, and my mom would constantly say, 'It's gonna happen, we just need to wait for the right opportunity.' And 17 years later, we're still amazed – the guy who owned the house we wanted called us and said he'd sell it to us for the price we wanted because he was moving to the North!

I've got a million stories like that, and it's all thanks to Feng Shui. I write everything down, and with the right mindset and strong desire, it all comes True.

What is Feng Shui to me

Feng Shui is all about energy – it's everywhere, whether you believe in it or not. So, if you set everything up perfectly according to Feng Shui rules but don't believe it'll work, you'll still get amazing results. But creating the perfect Feng Shui setup in your space? Even after 17 years of practice, I haven't been able to do it. Why? Because it takes a lot of money. And let's face it, Feng Shui is often the domain of the wealthy – you need to move into a house that's been built with Feng Shui principles in mind, with great surroundings like a park nearby, a mountain behind the house, and no hospitals or cemeteries nearby. That's just not possible for most people. But I've achieved incredible success, so I can confidently say – it works! I've corrected everything from relationships to finances, and I've even helped others achieve their goals, like getting pregnant or attracting money.

Let's be real, I don't have a dream home with a 50 million budget, so I've had to get creative with my decor. I've got a mishmash of stuff going on – psychology, philosophy, mandalas, Reiki, mantras, yoga, meditation, affirmations, numerology, astrology, tarot, and even a bit of Orthodox Christianity and Buddhism. If any of this isn't your thing, don't worry – it's not for everyone. But for me, it all works together, and I really enjoy it.

Feng shui mandalas (2 for health, 1 for happiness) – I haven't finished decorating them yet, but I use them for meditation. Feng shui mandala for business, masculine Feng shui – a great big book on positive psychology that's super affordable Feng shui – pages from Louise Hay's book Feng shui Feng shui Feng shuiFeng shui isn't a religion – it doesn't conflict with Orthodox Christianityor any other faith

If you're put off by the fact that it's a Chinese philosophy, and you're not a fan of the hieroglyphics and all that, don't worry – you don't have to incorporate any Chinese elements into your space

Feng shui can be as simple as a prayer icon and a little figurine of Kuzia with a walletor any other sacred object from your own mental and spiritual background

Even if you're an atheist when it comes to faith in God, but feng shui resonates with you, it'll still work

Feng shui – my altarOn the photo, you can see part of my altar, which is located in a cabinet on the east side (the zone of health) – you can also place it on the northwest side (the zone of helpers). It's best to position it above eye level – I've got a Bible, candles, and other items for Orthodox prayer. Don't put it in the bedroom or a prominent location – I think the reasons are pretty obvious.

The goal of feng shui is to find and harness the flow of Chi energy and use it for the benefit of humans, achieving energy balance.

❄️❄️❄️Getting started❄️❄️❄️I'm glad I didn't start with a fortune teller and a frog with a coin)

❄️❄️❄️Cleaning!❄️❄️❄️

I began by going through my entire place, getting rid of anything I hadn't used in three years and anything that gave me negative vibes.I fixed or got rid of anything that was broken, like chipped plates and cups – they can harbor negative energy.I gave my mirrors, windows, and doors a good cleaning to let the Ci flow in.Of course, I made sure everything was spotless and organized. No dirty curtains, torn bedding, or a grimy fridge. A positive energy should flow freely, like a gentle breeze, through every nook and cranny.I washed and ironed all my clothes and shoes, and even got rid of any negative thoughts in my head. It's all about the details.❄️❄️❄️Attracting (inviting Ci)❄️❄️❄️

Once my space was tidy, I walked through it with a bell, holy water, incense, and essential oils, making sure to check every corner and closet. You can use holy water or a salt solution instead of incense – it's up to you.I made sure to use natural essential oils and scents that would create a pleasant atmosphere throughout the day, every day, not just occasionally.❄️❄️❄️Calculating the GUA for every family member❄️❄️❄️

This is the main reason why feng shui might not work or even make things worse.

Many people know about the bagua map, but not everyone understands that it's just a general guideline. If you place your head on the southeast corner to attract wealth, but your GUA number is off, you'll end up even poorer!

The GUA number plays a crucial role. It represents a person's inner strength, helps develop it, indicates innate talents, and suggests areas of interest or weakness.

It's calculated based on your birthdate, and it's easy to do online for free. I see no reason to stop there.

Feng Shui. Baga grid, overlaid on house planCheck out these photos of my gua number and detailed description - just for reference. Once you know your gua number, you'll need to arrange and plan everything according to your auspicious and inauspicious directions. There's plenty of info on that online, too. Make sure to print or write down your directions and try to sit and sleep in the most auspicious ones whenever possible. Here are two books that got me started

Feng Shui

Feng Shui Feng Shui

Feng ShuiThese two old books were enough to get me hooked on Feng Shui - they're not flashy, but they've got all the basics covered. Everything I'm reading online now is in these books. I don't need any more fancy books to get me started. Here are two more books that are more of a motivational read - they're not essential, but they're a great way to get inspired

Feng Shui Feng ShuiThe direction of your bedhead and the entrance to your home (if you're building it according to your gua directions) should ideally be the same as your gua number - that's the direction of the head of the household. If you and your partner are the head of the household, but your gua directions are different, you might have to sleep in separate rooms. That's the ideal scenario.

The most important thing is to avoid the most inauspicious directions as much as possible - there's plenty of info on that online, too.

❄️❄️❄️Baga Grid (Square, Octagon)❄️❄️❄️

The Ba Gua is a sacred eight-sided figure in feng shui that's based on eight trigrams. Each direction or side of the Ba Gua points to different areas of your life that, according to feng shui rules, need to be balanced. Understanding the Ba Gua concept gives you the knowledge to figure out which specific areas of your home or office need to be adjusted to attract good fortune into your life.

Ba Gua. Feng ShuiJust like with the Bagua map, you need to pay attention to where you place your favorite frog figurine, or paint the walls in certain colors, and put a money tree in a specific spot. I've written about this before, and it doesn't matter whether you have a frog, a money tree, or something else that symbolizes prosperity. There are free online tools where you can input your floor plan and get a Bagua grid. Alternatively, you can print out the grid, place it under your floor plan, and mark the areas where you want to place your symbols. You'll also need a compass, but that's a more advanced topic. For beginners, just look at the Bagua map and place your heart and candle symbols in the relationships area (Southwest), your turtle and aquarium symbols in the career area (North), and so on.

❄️❄️❄️Symbols❄️❄️❄️

Feng Shui. Abundance and Well-being

Feng ShuiIt's also crucial to know where to place your symbols and where not to. You can find a ton of information about this online. For example, frogs should be placed on a desk, but not too high, as they should be able to easily jump off. On the other hand, dragons should be placed in a spot where they can be elevated and look down on people. And so on for each symbol. It's also important to consider the direction they're facing.

❄️❄️❄️Neutralizing Negative Aspects That Can't Be Changed. Yin-Yang Balance❄️❄️❄️

For instance, if you can't or don't want to move your house because of a busy street in front of it, or if you have a fast-moving river nearby, you can't just move. You need to slow down the energy with heavy, thick curtains and other similar methods.

When you're living next to a cemetery, it's a whole different story. You need to maximize the sacredness of your home, not just with spiritual elements, but also with bright windows and lamps. Fresh flowers, vibrant decorations – because a cemetery is basically a huge Yin energy, even if you don't consider the negative vibes. You need to strike a balance between Yin and Yang, or you'll feel either too hyperactive or too lethargic.

❄️❄️❄️It's crucial to adjust the areas that are missing from your home.❄️❄️❄️

I've noticed that not many people live in a square house (the ideal feng shui shape). To correct the missing or protruding parts, you can use a large painting, a mirror, or other elements that match the missing zone.

P.S.

I tried to cover the basics and debunk some common myths. Going deeper isn't necessary, and there's already plenty of information available online and in books.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I'll be happy to help with your specific situation.

Thanks a lot to everyone who made it to the end!
