A Refreshing Summer Read

I stumbled upon this book in my VK recommendations and devoured it in one sitting, laughing out loud! Yes, that's me, according to many, a 'non-discriminating' reader!

I read the reviews, all negative, but decided to give it a try.

I ordered it on Ozon for 400 rubles.

I read it with great enthusiasm!

I love light, humorous reading. In today's world, we have enough problems. At least when reading a book, we want to escape from all the negativity surrounding us. Books on serious topics don't really resonate with me... I just want to read something enjoyable.

About the BookPublished by BOMBORO.

Author: Andrey Askovd.

Series: 4 books:

History of One Summer.Let's Go South.Winter Holidays.History of Another Summer.I love holding books in my hands! This one is a hardcover with a beautifully designed cover. White pages. Easy-to-read text. The author's illustrations. 282 pages.

The main characters are two mischievous boys, 5 and 7 years old, who visit their grandparents in the countryside for summer holidays.

They have many hilarious adventures due to their boundless imagination. Sometimes, I felt sorry for their grandparents. Their reactions, with swear words and threats, are understandable.

I felt nostalgic while reading.

I remembered my grandparents... They used to take me to the countryside for summer holidays, but I was a girl, so I didn't cause much trouble. People of their generation didn't know how to express their love, and they weren't taught to do so. I wasn't told about love, but I know that their love for me, their granddaughter, was unconditional! They're no longer with us, but I still remember and love them.

Today, children are overindulged. In our time, we were left to our own devices. There was no internet, only two TV channels, and not much interesting content. So, we entertained ourselves as best we could.

This book resonates with me. It may be simplistic and silly to some, but it's a great read.

I ordered three more books by the same author, continuing the adventures. I haven't read them all yet, as I lent them to my relatives from the older generation (my mom and aunt). They enjoyed them too!

Just think about the story of how they treated Vovka and waited for the doctor!

I had a wonderful time reading it!

The only downside is the typos. However, they didn't hinder my reading experience.
